Jarring effects gave us a hand on this project so I figured that sneaking in a little mention of them in this post was a good way to thank them.
So I’ve just been out of their office and I’m back at the S.K house listening to… yes… the new DOPPLeR album. CD version only for now but the vinyls will follow on HAK lofi record. What can I say more than what I have said a few times allready these last months? It’s really great and I hope you’re going to enjoy it as much as we do. The release date is officially september 26th but you can already order it on CD1D if you wish. Soon you’ll be able to download the mp3 version from the same site and also stream the entire album on this one site just like Clara Clara, the rubiks and all the rest when Matt and I will have the time to handle all this…
What? Did I never mention CD1D here? Okay. CD1D is the cool, not for profit, cooperative federation of labels that put a lot of energy together to provide an internet tool to make our musc available to you. Basically it’s exactly like if you’d order directly from us the labels only it’s more efficient, it accepts all sorts of payment methods and it’s fast and reliable. Not for profit, yes.
Distros, get in touch with us now’s the time. We should do trades again this year if we can get organized. Let’s talk about it.
Speaking of profits, sorry DOPPLeR friends and fans if I take the opportunity of this post to speak about all this but the transitions are just so easy today I can’t believe it… So, speaking of profits. We have to stop offering the completely free downloads of the mp3 versions of the S.K records albums on the CD1D site. It’s really ridiculous and out of control. I figured that people would download AND buy the records but I’ve been naive and we haven’t sold one single record since we started this so well I don’t know if it sounds like protecting our profits or something… I hope it doesn’t… but, yeah we have to stop this. The records will be available to download at a very fair price and we promess to finish the entire streamable S.K catalog band by band on this site. Believe me it’s a pain, please be patient.
